Some of BFF’s most important work happens before anyone steps into a classroom. On December 16, 2025, co-founders Liam Griffin and Toby Qin recorded and edited three videos in a single night, one each for elementary, middle, and high school students. Because a first grade and senior in high school don’t need the same lesson about money, it should be tailored to how they can learn and retain the information.

  • 3 videos

    • Elementary, middle, and high school

  • 1 slideshow

    • For in-classroom use

  • 1 one-pager

    • A whole overview of BFF and their goals

Together with a slideshow and a one-page overview, the videos crafted a ready-to-use sort of toolkit for Chapel-Hill-Carrboro City School (CHCCS) teachers. About a month later, on January 28, 2026, the district’s Director of Secondary Humanities confirmed that our information was being shared to all secondary school social studies teachers and instructional coaches, and that it would become a part of the upcoming principal update. Sharing with elementary schools was still being processed.

Now that doesn’t mean every classroom has used the materials yet, but it’s a real start to our goal. If you’re an educator who wants to use our resources or bring a BFF workshop to your students, partner with us.
